Why generic fat-tire fenders are a poor fit here
The Aventure.2 runs wide 4-inch-class fat tires, which already rules out normal bicycle fenders. Generic fat-bike fenders that do claim the width then run into this bike's specific mounting points, stay lengths, and the factory rack, which the stock rear fender is shaped to live under. Because the bike ships fendered, the aftermarket has little reason to target it, and owner communities consistently point people back to the OEM set. The realistic choices are the Aventon part or riding without.
The trap to avoid
Aventon sells a fender set for the original Aventure and a different one for the Aventure.2, and search results mix them freely. The two bikes are different model years with different part listings, and Aventon's own compatibility guidance is that fender sets match their specific model. Before checkout, confirm the listing says Aventure.2 or Aventure 2, and that the frame size matches yours. If a reseller listing does not state the generation, ask or skip it.
What owners actually do
The most common fender issue owners report is rattling after rough riding rather than breakage. The usual fix is re-tightening the stay bolts and hardware, sometimes with a drop of thread locker, not replacement. When a fender does crack, owners either order the OEM set from Aventon or have a dealer shop order it in. Keeping the factory hardware in a labeled bag after any removal saves hunting for replacement bolts later.
