How many years will my e-bike battery last?
Battery life is counted in full charge cycles, and shallow top-ups use up only part of a cycle. How deeply you run the pack down matters more than how often you plug it in.

How this works
- Storing the pack at full charge in a hot place is the fastest way to age it. Around 60 percent in a cool room is the storage sweet spot.
- Charging a cold pack straight after a winter ride is harder on the cells than letting it reach room temperature first.
- Capacity loss is gradual. A pack at 80 percent is still perfectly usable if the range still covers your rides.

Do shallow top-ups really help?
Yes. Cycle life is roughly counted in total energy moved, so two half-depth charges cost about the same as one full one. Avoiding the very top and bottom of the range is what extends life.
Should I run the battery flat now and then to calibrate it?
No. That advice comes from older nickel chemistries. Deep discharges are one of the harder things you can do to a lithium pack, and the battery management system does not need it.
Is it bad to leave it on the charger overnight?
The charger stops at full, so it is not overcharging, but the pack then sits at maximum voltage for hours, which is the state that ages it fastest. Unplug it once it is done when you can.
